Users will need Security access to create any hub content
- (Request with your CSR to update the following access)
Company Settings>Profiles>Security Profile
- Go to 'Profiles' tab, under 'Dashboard Layout Profiles' click 'View' and 'Edit' for Managers and Admin
- Click 'View' only for Employees or any Security Profile that does not need edit access to the Dashboards.
Creating the Dashboard
Select the menu icon then go to
>Company Settings>Profiles/Policies>Dashboard Layout Profiles
- Click the pencil icon next to the profile you’d like to edit the dashboard
- Different Employee Dashboards can have different or the same content (ie. Admins, Managers, Employees), depending on what content you want to add/display.

- Under ‘Dashboards Visibility’ ensure the ‘Show Company Hub’ option is enabled then click Save.
- Scroll down to ‘Schedules’ and click the pencil icon to edit the layout, you’ll be taken into the ‘Dashboard Layout Configuration’ screen
- Configured Tabs will appear at the top like the 'Home' tab. To create a new tab, in the upper left click the Settings Cog followed by 'Edit Tabs.
- Click on the ‘Company Hub Tabs’ at the top to add new tabs under ‘Company Hub’ tab.
- The 'Custom Tabs' is the main dashboards tab
- Enable 'Display' next to 'Company Hub Tab'.
- You can start adding content to the ‘Company Hub Tabs’
- You can add additional tabs to create content on by clicking the ‘+Add’ to add a new tab and then Name the tab
- Click Save when all tabs you want to display have been added
- The new tab(s) created will now appear in the row of tabs at the top of the dashboard.
- Click the tab you just created, it will bring you to an empty layout that you can now configure and add content to.
- Ensure the ‘Edit Mode’ is enabled to start configuring,
- to Preview what the dashboard will look like to the end user, turn off the ‘Edit Mode'
- Use the boxes/widgets to start adding in any type of widget element and company content. Click the plus sign

in the top, right, left or middle box to bring in Widgets. There will be three options
- ‘Widgets’ - allows you to bring in several widgets that you see in other areas of the system
- ‘Content Widgets’ - source widgets from the library
- ‘Create Content Widget’ - create brand new widgets with content of your choice
- Allows you to place specific content in order to gain EE attention. (ie. Can place a banner in the top, company picture, embedded video, embedded PDF, embedded map or weather widget all on the dashboard, within a Widget)
- Click 'Create Content Widgets'. It will bring you into the Widget to create/edit
- Select either ‘Regular View with Header’ or a ‘Transparent View without Header’
- Select the ‘Title Icon’ type you’d like to display
- Enter in a ‘Title’
- 'Title Link' - Enter in an external URL (ie LinkHCM.com) so when you click the Title it takes you to the external link
- In the ‘Content’ box you can add in text/content, bullet points/Number list etc that you want to display regarding this widget. (ie. New Hire Reminders: Bring ID Badges, Laptop and I9 documents).
- You can format the text to appear bigger, smaller, bold, different colors etc to make certain text or links stand out
- To insert an Internal or External link
- Click the

- Internal Link - link sourced within the system (ie Withholding )
- External Link - to a site outside the system
- ‘Text to Display’ enter in a title for the link

- To insert an Image
- Click the
icon to upload an image from your computer
- Click the upload
icon to upload an image. Once an image is selected it will display a preview of what it will look like.
- ‘Image Size’ option lets you choose the sizing of the image. ‘Fit’ is recommended to always fit any device viewed on. To remove an Image, click the trash can icon on the image to delete. You can also ‘Add from Source’ to add an image that is on a website.
- If you 'Add From Source' there's no limit of sourced pictures you can upload into a widget.

- ‘Source’ enter in the URL to the video you want to display

- Navigate to http://maps.google.com, then input the desired address into the search bar. Select the Share icon

- In the Share pop-up, select 'Embed a map'
, then select 'Copy HTML' to copy the code.
- It is recommended to use 'Medium' in the typical size
- Paste into the source code box and click save
- Navigate to http://maps.google.com, then input the desired address into the search bar. Select the Share icon

- To Insert a PDF

- Paste the code into the Source code editor box that pops up. Highlight and replace the Location of PDF part of the code with the URL linking to the desired PDF file.

- Click Save, make sure you see the PDF in the Content box

- To Insert a Third-Party Weather Widget

- Navigate to https://www.windy.com/, then input the desired location in the search bar. Via the right-side options, choose the preferred view of the weather, such as Weather Radar.
- In the top left, select the hamburger Menu icon. Select the Embed widget on page option.
- Confirm the location in the map is centered in the embed config
- select the Include Spot Forecast option to show a multiple day, hour-by-hour forecast of the expected weather, including conditions and temperature.
- Select 'Copy to Clipboard' and then paste into the 'Source Code' box.
- Click the source code
- To Insert a Clickable Picture
- First click the
icon to upload the picture that you want to display.
- Next click the source code
icon. The code for the picture will already be in the source code pop up box.
- Remove the extra <p> and </p> (paragraph tags) from the image link code before and after the image code

- You will need to copy and paste in the URL you want the to picture to go to, in front of the image code that is already in the source code editor box. You will need to enter in <p><a href=" before the URL and add in " target="_blank" rel="noopener"> right after the URL. (Example: If your URL was https://www.linkhcm.com/resources/ then it should look as follows <p><a href="https://www.linkhcm.com/resources/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">
- Next, Paste the formatted URL (Example: <p><a href="https://www.linkhcm.com/resources/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> ) before the image code. It should look like the below
- Click save
- Switch off 'Edit Mode' to preview, click on the picture to make sure it takes you to the correct link you inputted.
Once all Content has been added to the widget, click ‘Save’
- Disable ‘Edit Mode’
to Preview how it will be viewed by end users
- Whenever making changes to the dashboard click ‘Save’ in the top right of the screen to make sure all changes saved/retained
- Finally, pushout all changes by clicking the back arrow, then from the ‘Edit Dashboard Layout Profile’ under ‘Schedules’ click ‘Reset’. Clicking 'Reset' needs to be done in order for Employees to see on their dashboards.
Now from your dashboard, you should see the new tabs you have created.
Content Widget Library
All widgets ever created will be saved in the 'Content Widget Library'.
- Settings>Profiles/Policies>Dashboard Layout>Content Widget Library
- Click the Pencil icon to see/edit what this widget contains. You can make changes directly within, and they will sync to the various dashboard layout profile(s) in which this dashboard widget lives in. Displays how many dashboard widgets it’s included in at the top.
